Hey Everyone
Hey everyone,
Been kind of a lurker for a long time, and finally got around to signing up. I'm Jon, I'm a CFO at an oil field health and safety company. It takes quite a bit of time, but I enjoy tinkering with some older cars when I have the time. I had avoided signing up before, because it seemed like I had a hopeless cause for mileage, a 05 Mercedes E500 4 matic. It was a pig, and I was lucky to get over 21 MPG on the freeway, and 17 in town. She is gone, however, being replaced with a 14 Honda CR-Z. Even with me doing a very non-eco mod, and giving her 18s and sticky tires, she still rewards me with a 40 MPG average, and the ability to be a great little canyon carver. Anyway, time to look around, as a member. :) |
Welcome!

Welcome! All about adjusting the nut behind the wheel!

Welcome to the site. 40 mpg isn't bad at all. How do you like the CRZ otherwise?
|
Man, I thought real hard about a manual CR-Z but ended up getting a manual Gen-1 Insight and a new car for my wife instead.
Welcome to the site! 40 mpg out of a CVT is a pretty good start! |

The only gripes would be meh brakes, (my Mercedes had excellent brakes), cheap carpet and no leather option. Brakes can be upgraded with RSX type S parts. Haven't looked for better carpet or leather though. |
