New Member, New to the hunt for Fuel Effeciency

Hello folks, new here, figured I'd make an account and share my progress, as well as get ideas from you all.

Little back story, my first vehicle was a 2006 ford ranger, when I bought it I was getting 20 ish mpg on my commute. Not bad considering it wasy only expense at the time.

Oh, my commute consists of 70 miles highway.... One way.... Everyday.

Living in rural Canada, I needed a truck with 4x4. Mpg wasn't on my mind at all. Truck now gets 15 on a good day with the lift and tires and my heavy foot haha

Fast forward 2 years, started to realize I could save a boat load of money by buying a sub $4,000 economy car. So thats what I did.

Enter 2004 for focus. Bought it almoat a year ago to date. Paid $3900, it's a base model zx3 with no options, not even A/C. In the year over had it I have averaged around 29 mpg. Far better than 15 mpg.

But, now I'm on the hunt for more. I want to squeeze out every bit possible. I'm not going to go to extremes like a boat tail, or anything like that. But I have already done a few things to help out.

I'll leave that for my "build" thread however. This has been going on long enough for an intro thread Haha.
