Hi from BC!

Hi everyone! I have just joined this great friendly site. I like to know about fuel saving techniques but am not a hypermiler.
I have a 2004 Mercedes E 320 4Matic which my wife also drives, and my wife has a 2009 Toyota Matrix AWD which I also drive. We have selected those cars for their relative safety, comfort and fuel economy in their own classes.
Hope to learn a lot about fuel economy here:)!

Ahh, British Columbia -- one of my favourite places.

Welcome to the site

Are you on the mainland, or Victoria Island? I'll be in Vancouver this month on Holiday...

What type of driving do you do in your Merc and Matrix? By the way, is the E320 a Turbo-Diesel?

Best FE,

RH77

Thanks for the welcome RH77! I am on the mainland, actually in a suburb area not exactly close to Vancouver. The MB is not a diesel car. If you can forgive the conceit, I would like to say that I drive for safety, comfort and fuel economy, probably in that order:D. Actually, the cars are used for our daily trips. Public transit is good but is not too accessible here.
Our city/highway driving ratio is about 45/55. Traffic is usually busy, even on highways, and our city is hilly. The load is usually my wife, myself and some belongings/groceries. There are no modifications on our cars.

Glad that you like BC. Enjoy your stay!. Weather is good here right now:).

Best FE, YES!!!!!!!
