new 96accent 1.5 5spd. 42.7

Just bought my accent Monday and today was my first fill... after 385 miles I produced 42.7 mpg, I'm happy with that... but I know I have to remove the little mudflap things get a new non bent door reduce drag on front air dam and ideas about rear tire body covers are in effect... goal is 50

Congrats on the new car & welcome Great job on the first tank & aiming for 50 is a great goal for the Accent Are you using a Scangauge or Ultragauge?

Check out these tips as they are a great tool for improving MPG's. Also set up a page in the garage so you can track your progress.

I don't have a that type of scanner... but I have a WiFi obd2 scanner and it measures airflow through the maf, to track mpgs it is very accurate.
