Hi from N Ireland
Well its wet outside so i cant play with my car and the PS3 is banned so ive decided to join here after reading alot of post over the past few weeks. Today i bought myself a Peugeot 106 Diesel 1500cc 3 door. It should return 55-60 mpg (UK) so thats a good start. With fuel costing around £6.50 per UK gallon i need to save every drop. Im hopeing to improve by around 15-20% or more so will be asking lots of questions.
I look forward to your help. Thanks Owen |
Welcome to EM, Owen:)
The P106, with a 1.5D, is just the car I dream about ecomodding. It's lightweight (compared to new cars) and it can be found without useless options like PS, A/C, electronic everything. Its rear looks like it's just begging for a huge kammback, and a bellypan shouldn't be too hard to make. Those mods should be good for another 10%-20% reduction, on top what you'd get from adjusting driving style. That is a winner car you have there! You just have to know how to use it. Keep us informed. |
Welcome Owen. I await your fuel logs! Here's to seeing you get more than 70 mpg imp.

Thanks guys, ive a few jobs to do before its on the road. Im going to drive it as it is for a few weeks and then start the mods.
Cheers |
That will give you a baseline to work from. Good luck!
