Honda civic hx drivers

Does anybody here still drive the hx with a cvt? I'm just looking to see where do the rpm's sit at when driving 60mph.

holly crap. ive never seen one in my entire life

I've looked up the gearing, so it seems like the cvt will lower my rev. Final drive is the same as all other automatics.

edit: after further investigating, the rpms drop within range of the automatic transmission. I looked through some transmission repair pamphlets and they say that 62mph the rpm's should be between 2800-3000rpm. Sucks!

I just saw one runnign great this weekend. They are still out there. i am not sure on the production numbers, but there always seems to be more automatics for sale than manuals. Could be higher production numbers or could be nobody wants the CVT.

I'm reading horror stories on the starting clutch and it goes out. But I'm wondering if people aren't changing the fluid frequently like they are suppose to.

Heh-heh, I bet they don't. Especially when the car is approx 10-15 years old.
