Honda VEI / VX ? MPG in stock ? is mine well or not ?
Just the other week i bought my first Civic VEI I belive its almost the same as VX. This morning I was testing at three diffrent speeds:
film on youtube: search villyelg "Honda Civic VEI / VX + MPGuino at 65, 75 and 88 km/h" At 1 minus celsius, spike-tyres, stock, full tank, one person. 65km/h 56MPG 75km/h 49MPG 88km/h 46MPG Idle 0.6 L/h The car is all stock with nearly 300.000 km. Yesterday I changed sparkplugs to NGK ZFR4F-11 as told on forum. Sorry to make some of you disappointed but I thought this car could make better numbers OR is my car not well ? Is it really that good with lean-burn compared to a non lean-burn with the same transmission and set up ? No fence, // Villy Elg, Sweden |
I think spike-tyres = what we call "studded snow tires" here in the U.S.?
Studs or spikes will definitely reduce fuel economy. I can't tell you if your car is running properly or not but I'd expect an improvement of maybe 20% when you switch to regular tires (or tyres!). |
