How about these tires for my car
 

Hey all again. I have purchased these tires for my car. Falken Ziex Ze 912
195/60R 1520Lbs .480 Treadwear ULTRA HIGH PERFORMANCE ALL-SEASON... H Rated. I currently have the same just in a 205 right now. I bought before and bought again because they are $60 shipped per tire. I loved them for spirited driving. I could hardly ever make them break or bark around corners. My question is not really how they preform traction wise, but more for MPG (ofcourse!) reasons. I read some about LRR tires but not sure how to find out how your tire ranks on say a scale from 1-10 being the best LRR. Here is the info and I have already purchased these so no other tires can be bought for now. Please don't worry about hurting my feelings if these are not the best choice. :thumbup:

For the money, I'm sure they're good tires, however you went to a narrower tire without increasing the ratio, so your "final drive ratio" is effectively lower which will decrease mpg. Performance tires usually do not that the lowest LRR as they are not designed for that. On a positive note, the 51 psi is nice because you'll be able to pump the pressure up pretty high....I would never advocate going over the max sidewall pressure, but my tires are rated for 44psi and I have them at 52 psi. Rolling resistance decrease significantly as pressure is increased which will help all aspects of FE driving techniques.

I just assumed going back to the stock size 195 60 15 (pre coming to this website) would get me in the stock of my car. What do you think is the ideal ratio for say a 195...maybe 65 ??

Yeah I dont think 32psi Front- 30psi Rear to 46psi all around is all that crazy on my drive. Kind of feels better? :confused: I might go up to max psi... I assume they factor in a margin for people who dont use tire gauges. If they popped right at max that would be just too close with expansion and all. How much psi can tires increase with average driving? Say Hot and Cold situations.
