High drag coefficient just means more room for improvement! Making the underside of the car smooth won't change the look at all and should make a difference. Also a sloping rear window shade might help.

I don't know what transmission could be used, but the Mitsubishi Mirage 1.2L 3-cylinder has about the same power as the old 4A engine. And it's lighter and probably more efficient.

wow thats amazing! Thanks! i tried searching online for it but all i get is a bunch of ai garbage and unrelated stuff.

Sounds like it isn't an ideal car to build for efficiency.
I think i will build this to go fast instead.

I think it has plenty of potential either way! What might you swap in for the go fast route? Mitsubishi Mirage 1.2L 3-cylinder with a big turbo?

Aerodynamic improvement addresses both; the trick would be to add downforce without increasing drag.

No substitute for motor displacement. Efficiency is a different ask.
