How to enter first tank in EcoModder Fuel Log?

Hello,

I just purchased a used 2011 Chevy Cruze Eco and I'm totally blown away by the mileage that is displayed on the dash. I'm a hypermiler at heart and my average is already 42 mpg including highway and city.

My question is, how do I enter my first fuel tank in the fuel log since the tank only came 3/4 full from the dealer? What I did was multiply how many gallons I put in the tank by an estimated 35mpg to arrive at 171 miles driven. Everything will straighten itself out on my second tank, but I was wondering if there was a "first tank" option

Thanks!

BTW, I'm upgrading from a gas guzzling Jeep Cherokee (which I did my best with to maximize efficiency). I figure that I will pay off the difference in price of this new car in 5 years just by the saved fuel!

Congrats on the new car! (and getting rid of the Jeep) :)

There really isn't a first fill option. I would just dump that data and start with the second tank. Next time, I would fill up right away so you can start logging your own miles.

The easier way and more accurate as well is to use the trip since you've had the car on the odometer then divide the miles driven by gallons of gas added. Alternatively you can just skip the first partial fill up and enter the first full fill up

I never thought I would complain about this- but when I take my Mustang to my dealer, they always fill my tank! Way to screw up 2-500 miles. Hence why my odometer doesn't match my fuel log. Nice people, and I don't complain- but I never thought free gas would frustrate me lol
