How to richen the fuel with the O2 sensor?

I've read plenty about the EFIE modules designed to increase the voltage a tiny bit, to fool the ECU into going lean on the fuel injection. So I'm assuming that resisting the voltage down a tenth or two (in volts) would do the opposite - increasing the fuel being used. My question is for any electrical wiz types out there (of which I'm not), how best would this be accomplished?

Since I would also assume that we are dealing with mA current, would something as simple as a potentiometer work? If so, what value would be needed to cut the voltage by such small amounts, where you could adjust between zero and perhaps 3 or 4 tenths of a volt drop in signal? And where best would a person put this device? I would assume inline with the same wire as the signal to the ECU runs in.

My apologies if this question has already been addressed, it seems all I can find is how to boost the voltage by a small amount, not drop it down a bit. I appreciate anyone taking the time to assist in my endeavor - thank you. Michael

Why would you want to enrich the mixture?

I found an idea on another website, that I'd like to try out. Supposedly it yields really good mileage. It does require enriching the fuel being delivered, in order to work effectively. If it in fact works, I'll be glad to share it on here, and what gains (or losses) have been achieved with it.

How do you expect to get better fuel mileage by using more fuel? Theres some smart people on this forum, toss a link up to the idea and they can help you analyze the theory to see if it seems even minutely possible.

Heres a link to an airflow temp sensor pot. (same effect) Browser Warning

The warning is a glitch I have seen on here before.

Thanx Geebee, that article is very close to what I'm trying to accomplish. It sounds like those mods they list will eventually be overcome by the ECU learning how to correct things when it flips into closed-loop mode. Not at all sure I understand all this, but it seems to me that the O2 sensor has a better and longer lasting effect on fuel ratio.

I'm wondering if using a 10-turn 10k pot to bleed off a tiny bit of voltage to ground would have the desired effect I'm hoping for? I knew I shoulda taken some electronics courses in school...
