How to wire a 3 wire PB-6 with miro switch ?

I bought a PB-6 3 wire throttle with micro switch on ebay to use with a Curtis 1204 controller ...

The Curtis 1204 manual is pretty clear ... using the black and white wire as throttle imputs 2 & 3, with 1 going to the key switch(KSI), the green is not used ...

This one has 3 wires ... Black / Blue / Tan (kind of pink/brown) to confuse things for a newbie ...

I'm kind of confused on what to do now ...
I was expecting a common colour code (Black/White/Green) to go with the Curtis controller ... or some information with the packaging or from the supplier ...

I don't know how to wire this PB-6 for my controller ... :(

Here is the item on Ebay -

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI...:X:AAQ:US:1123

There really wasn't any information in the listing, and I didn't recieve any info with the packaging about the colour code used for the wires ...

It is a very solid looking PB-6 3 wire made of Stainless Steel ...
I have asked the supplier, but I haven't heard anything back yet, possibly because it is made in China ... :(

*I had to post the item url in this 2nd post, as I needed the required 5th post to include a url *

Connect black to the black and the other two to whatever. If you need to reverse it, flip the two (non-black) wires around.

Thank you Daox ...
So you are saying that the 2 non black wires are the ones for the pot box connection on the controller ??
I'm not sure about 'connecting black to black together' though?

This is to put modern wiring in an old 36V Elec Trak lawn tractor using a modern Curtis Controller and PB-6 pot box to upgrade the wiring ...

So I'll be starting from scratch for the PB-6 to Curtis controller wiring ...
The other low and high voltage wiring seems simple in comparison ...
Just the mystery wiring from the pot box has me confused ...

Sounds like the PB-6 you got doesn't have a microswitch on it. It came with no diagram eh?

The PB-6 is just a potentiometer. A pot has 3 lines; power, and two outputs. As you rotate the pot, one output voltage goes up and the other goes down. So, if you get them switched you just change them. Nothing will get damaged. You can test this on a bench with a voltmeter and a battery or power supply.

Thank You for your help 'Daox'

I think I've sorted out the problem now ...
Pg 4 of the Curtis 1204/1205 manual helped quite a bit with the Black/Blue/Pink colours that were confusing me ...:o
Blue is the common ...
Black & Orange(pink) are the 0-5 or 5-0 ohm for the pot box ...
There is a separate micro switch which is not wired as far as I can see ...
On the Curtis PMC foot pedal pot box on Pg 5, Fig 4 ... the Black & White are the 0-5 ohm for the pot box, with the Blue & Orange the micro switch, and Green not being used ...

This was just a 'cheap' ($48.99) Chinese PB-6 with no instructions on colour code with a micro switch not wired in ...
I think maybe that was the colour of wire they had handy ...

Maybe I was having a 'seniors moment' ... but it confused the HELL out of me for awhile ... :o

Thank You Again

just to clarify, blue is grounded to the controller ground wire (not chassis ground,) 12V goes to the orange but interrupted by the microswitch in order to ensure no current when you turn it on?
