This guy bought his CPR dummies and AED training devices used online, so he makes over a hundred per hour of instruction since the price is per person.

That one is nice. But it does seem to have a higher than normal lowest temp for heat pump at 41 °F. If it's for heating the bedroom in the morning, it might not be all that great for most of the year. It's been over a month since we had warmer than 41 °F temps in the morning. This entire week it's supposed to be in the 20's in the mornings.
I didn’t check the specs on those. There are window heat pumps that go down to -5F. A bit hard to find at the moment as November is not the season for window units.

Yes, if you go to a dual split unit you have tons of options as that how a lot of the world heats and cools their homes. A bit more work involved on the installation and more expensive. On the flip side they are more efficient.

Yes, heating the entire home was the point as well as limiting the use of your NG furnace. Most NG or propane furnaces in mobile homes are 80% efficient - at best.

Thanks for getting the referent.

OTOH, there would be a return on investment involved.

Thanks for the confirmation. Were I to design it today, I'd specify Monopoly framing for the walls and shell. That puts the insulation outside the framing. Oregon dome used 2x4 or 2x6 framing with fiberglass batt insulation. And no air circulating between the insulated envelope and the roofing.

I don't see either as an option in my circumstances.
Which is the reality of living in a resort town where more than half of the homes for sale on Zillow are over $1 million.

I don't see me doing many instructions here in a town that's out in the middle of nowhere with a population of 5,000. The city puts on semi-anual CPR/1stAid/AED sessions already.

If I were to want to make extra money I'd likely go into translation and interpretation, which I used to make $50 an hour at 20 years ago.

Or I'd stick with commercial driving jobs, but those don't pay more than $30 an hour. However, many do offer housing for drivers (bus, heavy equipment and others).

I wonder what the savings would be. If I'm averaging $60 a month for natural gas, I once roughly figured it was about 2.5 times cheaper per thermal unit, factor in 80%, factor in 500%, factor in some of my gas goes to stove and hot water heater...

So, about $20 per month average for electricity?

Yes, I think we've talked about this before. I'll start looking elsewhere once my parents and wife are finished passing away. The boys are moving out next month so it will be just me. I have no idea where I'm going to want to live.

Maybe a state that doesn't tax you every year on unrealized gains on real estate?

I wouldn't rule out higher tax states. There's a lot to affordability other than if there's a certain tax or not.

Real estate taxes are pretty low here where I'm at now, but that doesn't make it affordable.

I saw empty Christmas tree trucks swarming into the area today. Every season provides opportunity.

I'm contemplating becoming a helicopter pilot, and those guys moving bundles of Christmas trees are probably among the most skilled.

Despite being middle-aged, I haven't figured out what I want to be when I grow up.

I'm about halfway through my fifties and still don't know either.
