Damn that's a beauty (the bike. The cat that looks like it wants to piss on the bike is just ok. :) :D :D ) Do you ride with the seat that much higher than the bars?

SVOboy 06-04-2008 08:32 PM

Haven't ridden it yet...just got it today and it's rainy and gross. I'll take a picture after I've adjusted some more and take a picture of the old bike, as well.

ttoyoda 06-04-2008 08:40 PM

Way back I used to ride everywhere.. I ended up getting a front fork for a much bigger frame and making a spacer for the top bearing locknut so my bars could be up higher.. Leaning so far forward made my hands go numb after a while. I made a solid bar aluminium seatpost cause the hollow ones kept bending.. And I meant no disrespect to your cat. :D

Schmancy!

Does Vin Diesel know they named a bike after him?

SVOboy 06-04-2008 10:10 PM

Don't make bad jokes, darin.

Red 06-04-2008 11:00 PM

Sweet bike. It does look like your cat wants to "claim" it lol

lovemysan 06-04-2008 11:11 PM

Forgive my ignorance and lack of desire to search, but is that bike made in that store? If so does it smell like glue in there?

Okay nevermind! Still a very nice ride!

Is this the new team bikes?

Hey the cat looks pregnant!

MetroMPG 06-05-2008 12:23 AM

^ cat...

Doesn't anybody watch The Price is Right any more??

zjrog 06-05-2008 12:25 AM

Never heard of that brand... But then again, I've been away for cycling for better than 10 years. Looks fast (nice angles...), but that straight fork must make a stiff ride!

SVOboy 06-05-2008 12:52 AM

I have yet to ride it actually, because of the rain, but I've noticed two things...the first being that I ordered it with an 11-26 cassette and got an 11-23, not what I need, since I need something for hill climbing, oops, gotta call them tomorrow, :p

Also, none of my bike computers will fit on it cuz it's too big! Guess I gotta buy another, boo.

Hopefully I'll take it for a ride to the doctor's office ~15 miles away tomorrow, no better way to get to a physical than on a bike, eh?

Gone4 06-05-2008 01:36 AM

Very nice looking bike. What components are on it?

NoCO2 06-05-2008 10:08 AM

Wow, that had to have cost a pretty penny...Very nice piece of machinery though.

SVOboy 06-05-2008 12:38 PM

They're our team sponsors, ;), wicked good deal! It's built up with sram rival.

echomodder 06-05-2008 07:33 PM

Cat is caveman talk for Darn It.:D

igo 06-05-2008 08:44 PM

It Looks Fast!

SVOboy 06-05-2008 08:50 PM

It feels fast...no idea how fast though...

Bought this today: http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-VDO-C3-DS-W-...QQcmdZViewItem

Hopefully I'll find out how fast soon, :)

Are you going to commute with that weapon? I had buddy ride his $4k downhill bike to work, he had like a 4lb cable lock and always put it right infront of the security desk window. It never got stolen but more than once I saw the local punks eyeing up the situation...
Be careful where you leave it! And enjoy the new ride.

That looks like one helluva fast bike. I used to commute to school on a battered old Schwinn, some aftermarket parts to make it less awful, finally broke it (snapped the head off - too many wheelies will do that to racer bikes).

I could never get comfortable with the butts-up seating position, though. That's why I like the mountain bikes so much, but I'm looking at replacing my dead-and-gone Bianchi with a Townie. Anyone have personal experience with them?

SVOboy 06-10-2008 11:56 AM

I don't know townie, but anything's better than that italian crap, ;)

Why do you say that? Here's a pretty impressive list

elhigh 06-10-2008 10:17 PM

Them's fightin' words. My rigid Cervino would go right over a VW Beetle, and did on one occasion. I had to ride like crazy to get away from the guy, too. Ha, good times.

Anyway, it wasn't all Italian. After I broke it the first time, the front fork was Peugeot and the handlebar...hell, I think the handlebar was just a solid aluminum ingot.
