I ran into a tree... well, a branch.

Somebody decided to leave this in the middle of the road...

It smashed my A/C condenser, broke the horn, and tore my bumper up. Couldve been worse. The car ahead of me ran it over and flipped it up into the air. If I hadn't have braked it wouldve hit the car higher up. In the next photo you can see the drivers side of the condenser banged up pretty bad.

I feel for ya man.

Way to keep positive, because your right it could of been a lot worse.

When we got my wife's Scion tc we took it for our first road trip and ate a bearing buddy from a boat trailer going the opposite direction.

It took out the A/C condenser also and lower bumper grill. I change out everything for less then $200.00.

Sour, but indeed, it could have been worse.

I think I know where that branch is going to end up :D

I ran over its smaller brethren yesterday.
Fortunately it didn't cause any damage as far as I could see - it was dark outside ;) - but it got stuck underneath the car.

I think I'm going to try and incorporate it into some sort of modification for the car. Assimilation of branch. IDK. Right now it's a nice souvenir.

I remember a Dodge Aspen that had a dock piling (or fence post) sticking out of the left side of the grille, just barely. It went between the carburetor and valve cover (slant 6), through the dash (knocked out the radio) and came to rest about 4 inches from the rear window (without breaking it).

Glad you're OK. We probably drive the same roads on occasion. My stepdaughter lives in the Midlothian area of SW Richmond, just east of 288.

Mech

Definitely that could finish much worse... And now you have easy access to the front of your car so... Time for some mods :)

Ouch!! I feel really lucky now! I drive all over the place. This happened on Powhite, just before Courthouse Rd.

I'm usually driving over on your side of town though. Most of my clients are in the West Point and Saluda/Urbanna areas.

If you see how it looks on a Jeep...

Just imagine what it would look like on the Civic ;)

Glad you're unhurt.

those tires 195 70s?

I see where your fender skirt is chewed up did you go 205 70 14 and do that?

euromodder 09-30-2013 12:14 PM

I'd burn the offender, rather than give it pride of place on the car :p

Bought the car like that. It isn't like that on the passenger side. I'm not sure what happened. Think I should fix it?

I feel your pain, man.
I had to "take" a half sheet of sheetrock off a truck, I was in heavy traffic and anything I would have done besides hold on and grit my teeth, would have started a chain reaction accident.
Core support was pushed back, headlight wasted, and the engine compartment was filled with gypsum and paper fragments :D

If you meet any Crocketts or Abbotts in the Saluda or Urbanna area then they are probably my relaitives on my mothers side of the family. I also have a 2nd cousin who lives about a mile past the bridge on the north side of West Point.

Maybe we could meet somewhere around there for lunch. It's a nice bike ride for me.
