There was an old F150 in my neighborhood that had a tree fall on it, but it was sideways not from the rear end. Probably no one in the vehicle when it happened (hit from the rear).

I had to slam on my brakes in a 59 VW and let a huge pine tree hit the road in front of me in high winds. The tree barely missed the school bus in front of me and I had to stop and move parts of the tree to get down the road. Tall enough to cover four lane of a divided highway.
