Identifying a CRX-HF?
There is a CRX for sale on my way to work. The "For Sale" sign has no number and I go by the house at unreasonable hours to stop in. Sign says it's a 1990 with 140,000 miles. Are there easily identifyable characteristics to tell if it's an HF? It's a 5-spd with a sunroof and a rear wiper. Obvious bondo repairs around the rear wheel arches.:(

The HF's will be tagged HF on the rear of the car, generally in white on the small piece of back glass. Also the HF's had the lowest redline of all the motors, not sure what it is off the top of my head but you can certainly find it on the internet, check the tach and see what it redlines at.
However, I dont believe the HF's ever came with a sunroof, mainly because of weight concerns. Most failsafe would be to simply write down the VIN and check it out, here's one website that might help; http://www.decodethis.com/ |
