Increase FE by running MAX A/C 24/7/365!!

Supercooler

This would actually be fun to try on my Cummins-powered truck with charge air cooler [intercooler] as we run A/C 9-10 mos. of the year. It might show an IAT decline at idle, but I bet it wouldn't stand up to even moderate acceleration or light/medium towing.

What do ya'll think?

Not a chance.

^Agreed.

1. Think of the energy required to cool that volume of air.
2. More responsive? I can tell when an a/c compressor is on because of the lessened responsiveness. Even if this worked, would it work well enough to counteract the compressor drag?
3. Cooler air helps but not that much.
4. Reminds me of HHO and Tornados for some reason...

Definitely questionable claims on the site... basically looks like a water-to-air intercooler which takes advantage of the cold return lines of the AC... not sure about the "specially brewed cold 'arctic liquid solution'" (aka antifreeze?) or that it "delivers ... more oxygen rich air to the engine's combustion chamber" (it may be more dense, but percentage of oxygen would not change)

Not sure, but it seems this would require the AC compressor / fans to work a bit harder (or maybe work the same but the in-cabin air might not be as cold) since the compressed 'freon' would be warmer prior to compression...

...the "Law of Diminishing Returns" will get your way, ie: 90% of 90% of 90% is already only 72.9%, and no A/C unit is anywhere near 90% efficient.

And since we understand about pumping losses, we also know that having less-dense intake air will help steady-state cruise MPG, while denser air will hurt steady-state cruise economy.

So you lose many ways; your A/C is a little less cool, your engine loses a bit of power from running that A/C, it takes fuel to run the A/C, and you incur greater pumping losses. Great, where do I sign up??
