Start with the simple low cost techniques first. Read as much as you can on the aerodynamics of the pickup truck, read the hypermiler tips, and then attach a small balloon to the gas pedal. Next keep good records and maintenance schedules. Use a mountain bike and trailer for trips under 10 miles. Frank, your consulting rate is way too low if you expect to be taken seriously. Wait, take Frank seriously? What was I thinking! ;)
