Installed "winter" grill blockers on Fiesta

Heres mine! Made from Kydex using template...
I used little tabs at the top to tuck under the plate bracket, keep it in place...

And mounted...I kind of copied the new Ford style grill openings on the new models :)

I think I'll make another "summer only" version with a larger opening. Maybe 175% larger...?

Rear wheel spats...

Trimmed to fit using velcro to keep them in place...
Havent mounted them yet.

Looks great. I got some of that material from my step dad to play with. He said its pretty neat stuff!

How much did the material cost?

Are you going top block the top one too?

We get this stuff thru work (aircraft manufacturing)...I don't think it's too pricey...?
I think aerodynamically, blocking the top grill will smooth things out a bit...?

I've noticed the heat coming on sooner today with the block, but it's relatively mild today (2 Celsius ).
I wouldn't want to close off any more than I have now.

Big road trip coming up over the holidays...I'll have to monitor temps and mileage :)

Received my pre-made ABS grille insert pieces today. Installed them at the post office parking lot (bolt on). Noticed that both coolant and oil temps ran slightly higher (good), but as A/C was on, was happily surprised that those temps rose no higher than they did (Ultragauge). Enough air flows through the non-grille areas of the front end that I am pleased. Hope that the OP finds his to be "good" in some similar manner. I have a "winter front" soon to be delivered that really closes off the heat exchangers. With a 1k road trip commencing tomorrow -- solo & towing -- I hope to find "the range" of using the grille block.
