Integra owners, need input regarding fuel cut
 

Something really wacky is going on with my piggy. Here in the mountains I ride the fuel cut for all it's worth and noticed the other day the idle/fuel resume came back at 1500 rpm instead of the usual 900 or so. Well, I thought it was my imagination but now the idle/fuel resume has seemingly been rising higher to the point where it now resumes fueling at 2000 rpm. Does anyone have a stock 94-95 integra LS who can report back to me what the warm fuel resume rpm is with the stock ecu just for a sanity check?

I tried using a crome program and a different ecu but the same thing even when I lowered the idle resume, yet I have no idea what that program bases its fuel cut routine on, probably the stars in the sky. I reset the tps and no change, I closed off the idle air bypass completely and same thing.

Vacuum leak?

the engine is tracking engine speed, coolant temp, oil pressure, engine vacuum, o2 sensor temp, vehicle speed and I think that is about it, I would guess that either you do have a vacuum leak or an o2 sensor that is going bad, or that your engine is getting to cold.

The stock honda fuel cut routine (among the civics and integras at least) is to my knowledge a function of manifold press, TPS, and questionably ECT's. That should be the only requirements.

I sealed the manifold off completely of all vacuum leaks to the point it would not idle and the problem was still the same. BUT it occurred to my in my sleep that the MAP sensor may be going bad under certain temperatures. I popped another one in and what do ya know, fuel resuming at 850 rpm now and I can get my mpg back. I've never seen a honda MAP sensor do that.

Took me a couple weeks to find it, but it's fixed now. Thanks guys
