And this is why you should never trust the onboard computer to get instant MPG data.

And this is why you should never drive over 50... if possible. :D

My sister bought one when they first hit the lots. Blue awd auto touring.
On the test drive ( I was with her ) I got 34 mpg out of the touring awd. Speeds up to 70 mph and some stop and go traffic all mainly city loop. The in car display reads about 1.5 mpg high. She tends to drive a little fast and hard on the gas and brake but she has been averaging about 28- 29 mpg. It does really great one of solidest cuvs we drove. Mazda really needed a motor and transmission like the skyactiv. Direct injection. Edit. It also has an almost complete belly pan. It is very smooth under there. |
i saw my sister today. here are a few pics of the stock under side of the awd.

I like it, but probably won't get one

Now imagine what kind of mileage Mazdas will get once they start putting that technology in proper cars. (Instead of city-jeeps)

This is there full "skyactiv" design from the ground up. The mazda 3 got the motor and tranny.
The direct injected 2.0 auto is rated 28/33/40 The older moter 2.0 auto is rated at 24/27/33 If the redo it the same way they did the Cx-5 saving weight where they can. I expect 45ish highway. |
