Yes, there indeed is a lesson or two there.
Bottom line remains, numbers count.

Similar to the Volkhart-Saggita V2 with pontoon front fenders with a low hood line, on a VW chassis.

Targa tops before it was cool.

If one goal was to improve peripheral sight lines by removing/reducing the 'A" pillar by having a center hinge, I like.
But that does not seem to be the case to any large degree.
Granted it is an innovative design, but not sure what was gained here positively by having a windshield that opens.

From being here in the PNW, I always question gull wing doors on how they perform in the rain.

One wonders where that prop at the B-pillar stows away.

Seems many decades later the typical sunroof is still potentially a source for rainwater intrusion/leaks even with latest technology.

I can't wrap my head around the difficulty of preventing hinged windshield rainwater ingress of a driven by whatever constant speed plus wind the car is operated at.

Maybe the "prop" seen doubles as the driver's cane, putter, umbrella or maybe a cue stick?

My best guess is a simple prop hinged at the top. IIRC the story said the door is spring-loaded.

At ?t=470 there is explanation of the vortex generators ahead of the front wheels.

At ?t=1090 the rear wing end plates have downward facing louvers for a reason.

At ?t=2632 a (4%) range extender back bumper for the Tesla.

62 MPH on 150 HP. This may have been a subconcious influence on my design for my VW panel van (never realized):

Thank you for posting this video. Took me a while to find the time to watch it, and worth the wait.

Here's an interesting one. The silver/gray part is the actual aluminum monocoque. The bumps at the rear corners of the hood are in the correct location for a MaxPherson strut tower.

The [blue? green?] part is carbon fiber with a distinctive boat tail.

Peep mirrors.
