Here's a new one for me...

I'm surprised, I'm sure it's appeared in the thread before. Somewhere in 4400 posts.
I'm glad they highlighted the Performometer. I always wanted to find one of those in a barn.
And the T-top -- didn't know about that.

I pretty certian this car is already been mention somewhere in the 445? pages, but its worth noting again.
I get excited just looking at it, and I will reframe from explaining that reaction.

At 40 posts per page it's 111.
Not Audi's first rodeo, the 2000 Rosenmeyrer concept:
Also from my albums, here's a close-up of the Performometer:

More on the Lucca:
At ?t=293 the car is shown without the hood and canopy, demonstrating it's origins with the Silver Arrows.
It's a speed record car, while the Rosenmeyer concept was [intended as] a supercar.

Addendum: I just noticed the lack of outside rear view mirrors, and the curved back window and quarter windows make pockets that will fill up with candy wrappers and dust bunnies.

Somehow not even a passing mention of how this 1966 show car influenced the 1967 Dino?
Considering how long it takes to get a road car production model to the show room floor, I have to think the Dino's styling came first.
This might be a speed-tail study of the Dino, which I have to assume was under a veil of secrecy at the time and hence the race car underpinnings as a distraction to new chassis development.
Just a guess.
I don't have an old man's Italian accent to lend myself credentials.

Only problem and the same problem that I have with my front/mid engine car (2012 G37X coupe) is pulling into parking spaces, especially uphill. Not a great sense for where the front nose and tires are with a long hood.
