hello, questions from bulgaria (best injection quantity for Skoda Fabia /1.9 SDI?)

Hello, guys i have just registered to ask something about my car Skoda fabia /1.9 SDI 64HP engine /. Now the question is- What is better injection quantity for my pump and fuel saving? Factory setting is 3-5 mg/stroke.I had 1.6 mg and the car was so good i needed to use throtle pedal less than 4.0 mg/ it is factory settin. The problem was vibrations and incorrect fueling. And second question is constantly i drive with 1000-1200rpm and 1700rpm without load where i shift higher speed.is it good end fuel efficiency to shift around 1700 rpm or higher rpms.I thought that lower rpms are economically but i am not sure.sorry for my bad english .thank you in advance.

Best acceleration position is with about 90% load/gas pedal position on your diesel.

Best shift point is close to 2600 rpm. your acceleration needs to be fast to posted speed limit. your engine peak torgue is around 1800 rpm.

thanks Vekke. What do you think about the time to accelerate.is it better quickly acceleration, instead slowly and gently? i see on a board computer that the fuel consumoption is higher on low RPMs but but i can not believe I thought that the fuel does not burn only requested injection quantity. And again thanks for the answer.

I saw in my technical book that 1.9 sdi engine peak torque is 1600-2800.On TDI engines which have 1900 rpms.Probabably you know about 1.9 sdi. it does not work so efficientlly like 1.2,1,4 and 1.9 TDI.

im going to read your postings with driving habits to learn and understand how to get better MPG. Now reach 3.5 l/km on highway road but i want around 3.0 l/km.
