Have You Ecomodded *Yourself*?

I know this is a delicate subject, but as you've been ecomodding your ride, have you forgotten to ecomod yourself? Sure, your "spare tire" isn't rotating mass (I hope!), but it still contributes to the efficiency of your vehicle. Lower food consumption helps the environment just as lowered fuel consumption does.

At 165 lbs nowadays, I'm 40 lbs heavier than I was in college; I don't realistically expect to get back down to college weight, but 20 lbs is reachable. I've reduced my beer consumption (mostly high-gravity "snooty" beers) and have started working out and running again.

What are your plans to ecomod yourself? Have you given it any thought?

At ~200 I'm prolly 15 pounds heavier than I want to be considering the muscle mass I've put on. When I ran exclusively (marathons) I was around 170, but that's not sensible anymore.

I don't know that I'm doing much, just riding my bike,

Nothing wrong with trying to keep healthy.

since crossing 220lbs i am past the lane excuse point.
- I have started taking the stairs in the AM ( 12 flights) man that sicked the first week
- try to drink more HHO ( sorry could not pass that up)
- eat less crap - bring fruit and carrots along with my lunch for snack.

Beer is about 3 a week ( 'CAUSE YOU CAN'T GET YUENGLING IN GEORGIA!!!)
I need to get my Bike tuned up and start riding again. I did the "what is within 2 Miles of your house" thing and there is quite alot.

I am Clean shaven so i have less DRAG when i walk.
But the weight and the "total frontal area" need to decrease.

I've dropped 75 lbs in two years bringing me to a trim 275.
I recently acquired a stationary bike and try to ride it 30 time a week.
I am actually getting on 3 - 4 times a week.
I know that I can drop another 75, but those are gonna be the hard ones to make go away.
All i did was PAY ATTENTION to what I am eating and then when I felt a little less heavy, started walking as much as possible.
For instance, with my Grandson here we go to the corner for an Ice Cream Cone on Saturdays. Used to drive, ugh, now we walk. Good for me and my car. My dog wakes me @ 10 am and now instead of pushing her into the back yard to pee, we go for a walk.
Easy stuff really, I should have been doing it all along.

The funny thing is, that once I started ecomodding my car I did look inward to see what I could do too. So far I have been soda free for three months. All I drink now is water and ocassionally juice with my baby girl. So yes slowly but surely I am changing the way I handle my life too ...

I'm a triathlete, so I'm pretty good in the drivetrain performance department.

I did shave my long (1") hair a few weeks ago and I'm due for another round of aeromodding as it's back to a shaggy 1/4". If I can grab it, it's too long. The long hair was just for insulating purposes in the winter and drove me nuts.

As far as weight reduction goes, I noticed 2 years ago what the desk job had done to me so I started working out and put on an additional 10 lbs by the time I got into tris. Now I'm back down to the weight I was when I thought I was out of shape, but another pant size smaller. 6' 175# and I couldn't go much lower without injuring myself.

I'm encroaching on my senior year in college, and between senior year of highschool and the end of 2007, I had gone from 180 to 260, I was miserable with myself, as was my gf. I had high-bp and was incredibly out of shape, so I started eating (and drinking) healthy, and getting 30 minutes of exercise a day, and now I'm back down to 180 after 6 months of hard work, but it's so worth it! I'm never going to let myself get back up there again, I like my current lifestyle so much better!

Before:

After:

and I've even lost about 10 pounds since that last picture. I've determined that fast food is the devil :P
