Turtle Hello from pennsylvania!

Hey guys! new to the forum. I'm in south western pennsylvania, and drive a 2012 Cicic LX sedan. Anyone else in the area?
I will be going to the Carlisle Import and performance show may 21st in Carlisle PA and was wondering if anyone else here will be going. I will be in the show field with my economy car, getting looked at funny, if anyone wants to join me!

John.

Welcome to the site John!

What ecomods are you thinking about for your Civic?

I see you've already got an MPG gauge listed on your garage page.

hey! so i have the ultragauge, and i use it to monitor things, but the 9th gen civics have a nice MPG gauge built into the dash! it's awesome! I am going to bump the tires a little. I'm also looking for a set of hybrid wheels with the flat face.

Welcome! I wish there were more shows out here for the ragged eco-rat-rods we love. But nope!

Any longerterm mod plans?

I will rebuild Black and Green over decades as parts die, until it becomes a different car of roughly the same shape and color. My minimum fuel economy goal is 55 mpg while averaging posted speed limits. I generally top 60 mpg. See also my Honda manual transmission specs thread.

I average 32.2 daily on a mix of 40mph roads, and mostly town driving with lots of hills. The best ive done is 47.1 over a span of 230 miles all turnpike on the way to Carlisle Ford Nationals last year. I run BP 87 octane.

Does the 2012 have vtec-e like the previous gen Civic?

I had a 2007, and rigged an LED light to indicate when it was on the efficient cam lobes because there was no indicator.

Welcome!

I live on the Left coast and most of what I know about Pennsylvania I learned from Regular Car Reviews and the Bloodhound Gang. This probably skews my perspective of all who come from your state.

Have fun at Carlisle and post pics if there's anything interesting.
