Kgwedi a new guy
I have a 2000 Chevy Metro.
I work in an Aircraft Avionics shop, so have access to good sheetmetal and electronics equipment. I made some rear wheel skirts out of a pexiglass like clear plastic. The plastic I used was to brittle, and stress cracks appeared. I did use a heat gun to try to relieve some of the stress, but obviously not enough. I will redo them with Lexan. I use a Scangage II. I put in a relay to open the fuel injectors. The relay fits across the "FI" fuse for the Fuel injector. I saw this on the ecomodder site. But even in "hybrid" mode the scangage turns off after a few seconds of EOC. I see on the wiring schematics, that the Fuel injector fuse supplies the "Main Relay". I will redo it trying to have my relay only cut out the injectors. My average for the last 5 tanks is 49.6 MPG. I have a very nice 15 mile drive to work with little traffic. I do a lot of Engine On Coasting. |
Welcome to Ecomodder, lotsa Metro people here :)
