2000 Insight update (orange4boy)

Hi y'all,

Well, my adopted spaceship is doing well. After hibernating over summer it's actually getting better mileage. I can get 85mpg on the highway suddenly. Last year I was getting about 70 ish. Weird!. I'm also getting the herky-jerky at cruise. I already cleaned the plates but not the valve so maybe I'll do that. I'm going to check the plates too. I wonder if I was not going in to lean last year. It would cruise at about 75-85mpg at 60mph averaging at 70. Now it cruises at ~100 but dealing with traffic drops the average to 85.

What was the verdict on the best manual trans fluid? I'm going to change that soon too.

Been busy with work and life and an XS11 obsession.

So, how have you all been doing, eh?

Wow those are great numbers!!!

At 60 mph I can only get around 60 mpg in my 2000 Insight?
Mine is all stock with some over size tires that need to go away. I hope that will help?
