3rd Gen prius wheel weight?

Hello everyone,

Im new here. My fiancee and I are looking into getting a 2011 3rd Gen Prius.

Im a honda fan thru and thru. Have done som road course racing and autox.

The first modification, I was thinking of, for the Prius would be to change the stock wheels to light weight forged alloy wheels.

My stock honda Fit sport wheels weigh approximately 17 lbs each. I used to use my Volk TE-37 forged aluminum wheels which are 17x8.5 but only weigh 13 lbs each.

I have retired them to storage and use 15x7 Wed Sport which weigh 10 lbs.

Now im using Civic HX wheels 14x5.5 and only weigh 8 lbs. They are my winter wheels.

So does anyone know how much the stock Prius wheels weigh?

I noticed online that some trim level Prius come with 17 inch wheels!!!! OMG that is a lot of spinning mass.

Welcome to the forum.

Normally I wouldn't recommend cross-posting, but in this case you might want to repost in the "hybrids" subforum.

I looked up the tire weight for OE fitment, and the goodyear fuelmax tire is 19.x pounds. This was for the 3 trim level that also showed 2 other OE tires.
