Lithium battery vendors
 

I'm in the final stages of my motorcycle and was sourcing batteries for my bike. I'm going with Lifepo4 and I'm looking for 60 to 70 amp hour batteries. I'm not picky about brand. I was wondering if anyone had any good, reliable sources for the batteries. The typical cost I'm seeing is $70 per 3.2v cell. I need 24 cells. Is there a vendor where I can get these for maybe $50 a cell? Maybe a group buy?

I ask here because I know a lot of you know special local vendors and know about group buy events. I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.

I think there is only one source for lifepo4, China. :eek:

Try Endless-sphere for more sources. Those guys are usually up on this sort of thing.

I know they'll come from china, but I know there's local shops that order large amounts of these batteries and sell them. I was looking for a more local vendor than China.

I would recommend CALB CA series cells (they're grey). And CALB has a US distrubitor I just forget what the url is...
