Long time lurker has seen the light
Ok, so its been quite some time. I have had a wake up call on the money that I was spending on gas! Sooo, that puts me back to here.
I have a 2012 Kia Forte EX. Yes its an auto, but compared to my truck it is amazing gas savings. I dont plan on moding the exterior of the car, but adjusting my driving to maximize my savings at the pump. Any how, I appreciate all the ideas that I have seen so far. The tips over the last 3 years are about to get put to use. |
Enjoy the journey!

I like to look at it as the re-establishment of habits. The changes needed must become habitual. And there is -- somewhere -- a line where each of us finds comfort and encouragement short of energy-draining attentiveness.
Eventually, the skill development means a wider range of adaptation in the face of obstacles. This, as I see it, is the real pay off (predictable fuel burn for work performed). But the mean is higher in all instances. Or, 47-mpg is great from a 28-mpg EPA rating . . but a 34-mpg average means the most of all despite "rain, sleet and dark of night". . |
Watch the factory MPG meter and trip meters. If it does not have them get some feedback ultra/scan gauge or MPGuino. Feedback is key. Enjoy the savings and the lower stress driving style.
