Looking for a vehicle for a big person

Well maybe not that big, but I do ask dealers if they have anything in my size.
43 inches sitting height, 14XXW shoes, wide through the shoulders.
But, comparatively short arms and legs. 32 inch inseam.:D

Any suggestion on what would fit and give good mileage in a used vehicle?

Perhaps a vintage Pontiac?

Current ride is an Aerostar. Astro and Toyota don't have the footroom. Trying to find an early Transport to see how it fits. Maybe Mazda or Nissan?

My GF's 2008 Impala has a bench seat and is pretty roomy, give one of those a test seat. The 3.5l engine in her's seems like it has good MPG potential if it were driven by a sane person too.

I had a dodge intrepid for years. plenty of room for yourself and whatever else you want to carry. I once carried a 10' 2x6 with all doors closed and windows rolled up. you can see my fuel log which is simply driving normally, not much in the way of hypermiling.

Stay away from the 2.7 engine and don't buy anything older than 2000, earlier years had a weak component in the transmission (dont remember what).

Not sure what year the Impala bench seat disappeared but it is gone now, but I like mine with front buckets. I used it for a week a few winters ago and go 32 mpg with my work commute. Friday night took it for about 60 mile round trip back road 5-6 stop signs each way made 28 mpg on E85. $0.055/mile, cheaper than my Cobalt $/mile. Only down side is rear seats don't fold down. I think it only took 4-bolts remove them.

I'd also check a similar year Malibu with 2.4 FFV. I think they are rated 33 mpg HWY vs Impala's 29.

My in-laws have a GMC terrain, he was a larger guy with limited mobility and it was their choice, same 2.4 as Malibu with pretty good HWY rating in FWD version, and FFV if you find the right year.

I hope i did not come off as offensive with my previous post.
I'm not good at gauging how something i find amusing will come off to others.
The video is not making fun of big people, but rather the size of the car.

You guys are incredibly lucky to be 'big people'.

I would love to be as big as Brian Shaw* ( the guy getting into the Miata in the video.)

( *or so i think ...because the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.) ;)
