Sounds good, too.

Seems fairly simplistic, as well, considering that no matter how hot you get something, it won't burn without an oxidizer present.

You could theoretically heat your fuel to 2,000 Degrees under pressure (so it doesn't vaporize), then inject it into a cylinder full of compressed air, without general regard to the amount of air in that cylinder or the size of the displacement of that cylinder, and extract as much potential heat energy as could be extracted. The heating cycle of the fuel itself - pre-injection - could be handled by a turbo charger, or by exhaust heat in general, as well as a heat element. Modern diesels provide enough pressure to keep the fuel liquid under extreme conditions - (fuel pressures ~1600bar.)

...one major benefit is no fuel vapor in the intake manifold--only in the cylinder--so the intake air is denser, which allows the compression ratio to be bumped up a little bit more for the same octance fuel.

Direct injection at TDC should allow very high compression ratios. 80 to 1 AF ratio would also allow high compression ratios. Could be possibly twice what diesels average now.

Combine this with my rotary design and CRs as high as 50 to one and you have a HCCI game changer, that can store energy capacitively for high power available instantly.

60% plus efficiency potential, I would think.

I hope what they are selling gets in...
back in the day that was an 11:1 engine with a cam to match. the super stoicher...not gone in my owrld, but forgotten in many others.

I hope it gets someplace. It already exists...but the injection babble can pretend a modern marvel. ;)
