4th brake light and Rear fog light.

I figured this would come in handy, especially in those blizzard-style conditions (that officially started yesterday at 2:30 here)...

I ordered it off of eBay for 8 bucks shipped. It has a dim and bright mode, and I hooked up the bright mode for thee fog light. It turned out to be much brighter than my brake lights... so I decided to hook up the dim mode into my brake lights for a 4th brake light. The way I see it, why NOT have an extra brake light if the wires are already there?!?!?!?

The only downside was finding a way to mount it. I ended up drilling right through the light and putting two bolts through it. The light was meant to fit into an oval shaped hole with the included grommet, but I really didn't want a huge hole in my bumper. All I had to do was drill holes to move the license plate over and mount the fog light next to it. It is a really clean install, and I think it looks great. It's definitely one of my favorite things I've done to Rex.

I ran a wire to the bumper for my aux. reverse lights, but never got them hooked up, so next summer I will just end up running a new wire for those. A bonus was that I already had a flip-switch installed on the dashboard for my reverse lights, so now it powers the rear fog light.

I'll be getting daytime pictures tomorrow if I can remember.

Also, I will send a special PRIZE!!! to whoever can tell me what the song playing is. The only one who isn't allowed to guess is Oval_Overload, since I think he has a bit of an advantage, and besides I already sent him a duplicate of what the gift will be.

Please post your song guesses here, along with a comment on what you think about my mod, to keep the posts on topic.

Haha. Love the ending pop

I think Ben (SVOboy) might be able to guess that song! I have. No. Idea.

I think the idea of a rear fog is a good one, particularly if you happen to be in the population of drivers who drive below the median speed. I haven't done it yet...

In the hazard shot, are your lights symmetrical? Looked like on the left side of the car the outside light (of the signal/brake pair) was blinking, but on the right side of the car the outside light was the solid one.

My lights aren't wired properly... I was trying to mod them, and went wrong somewhere on the right side taillight. I got frustrated and just put it back to the stock formation. I decided to do a different mod to my taillights and when I do that I will fix the wiring so both sides are the same.

Also, The name of the song, and the name of the artist is required to get the prize.

Sorry. It's not french or trance/electronica. AFAIK, it's usually categorized as pop.

As you can all probably tell, it IS in a foreign language...

The game it is from was released in March 04 in it's home-country, the same country the music is from.

Then released in the US in September 04.

I was thinking about this just the other day, driving the metro on a dark foggy early morning. I need a set of front amber fogs and a rear auxilary fog light like yours.

From personal experience, the use of a low positioned, about brakelight intensity, red fog marker light is awesome for approaching from the rear drivers.

I have a lot of night-time in the fog driving under my belt, and

I usually drive the same mph as the big rigs in the fog (as to not get run over by one), which on interstate 5 in California seems to be about 50 mph. I have come upon a few very slow moving cars (25mph in a 70mph zone) that gave me a scare, I sure would have appreciated a rear fog light like yours on those cars 9as I'm sure other would appreciate one on my Metro).

Lonely Rolling Star - last 40 seconds of the song, by Saki Kabata, as taken from the soundtrack of Katamari Damacy.

BTW, never played the game, but I'm sure IGN's servers hate me right now.

Is that cheating?
