low volume shower heads
hi there,
does anybody have any good leads on those showerheads which supposedly help you save a lot of hot water? thx for sharing thoughs/experiences al |
I've got a hot lead on them:
The hardware store They're like $4 (likely less) My main problem with them is getting the wife to accept a low-flow showerhead. I just installed it anyway, she'll have to cope... |
My favorite is the one from walmart. <- I know I know.
The one i have is tiny and has a valve for P&G showers. |

P&G Shower.. LOL
what else could apply.. SWS ? ( Shower with Soap - where you lather and rince at the same time) |
Or you could not shower at all. Saves lots of water :)

I simply lowered the flow rate of water into our home. It didn't cost me anything. We have a flow regulator attached to the main line as it comes in the basement.
That and I take like 2 minute showers anyway. The girls are the one who waste water in the shower and they complain that they don't feel like they are getting clean with the low-flow heads. Better to keep the "faster" shower heads that way they are in and out quick, and not waiting until they "feel" clean.... |
I hate not having a lot of water.
Im also really hairy. I need lots of water. I mean if I was bald and all it would probably work out. |
Hi,
This one looks good -- I have used one very similar to this for years. It has high pressure so it feels like a lot of water and it rinses out thick hair very well. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...500_AA280_.jpg (click on image for link) I like the "pause" valve on the side... |
