MAF Reading
Hi All,
I'm modifying OBDuino to utilise a protocol from Nissan (Consult II). In doing so, I've found that the g/s MAF reading is not available - I get a V reading instead. Any thoughts if I can use the V reading someway (i.e. scale the reading to equal a g/s rate)? Or if not, I can get injector pulse rate - how would that fit in a calculation? Injector duty would show how long each is open for, knowing the flow rate of the injectors - wouldn't it be possible to know how much fuel is going in? Would that be less accurate than the MAF method? I don't have MAP accessible as a parameter either - the MAF sensor is there - but doesn't appear to be via the data reading. |
Any takers?

The OBDI version of MPGuino uses the injector pulse and VSS signal to calculate mileage (vss/pulse*k where k is a constant determined by the number of cylinders, injector flow rate, etc.) I would think using the injector pulse would be more accurate than MAF/MAP since it's a more direct measure of fuel usage.
