It has a brushless 500W DC 36V rear-wheel drive hub motor WITH regenerative braking. They claim at current configuration it is projected to cost less than $.01 per mile to operate.

So they state that the battery pack lives for at least 380.000 miles while the bike needs no maintenance and electricity is free? :D

The cost for electricity to operate might be less than ten cents per kilowatt - hour. Average annual cost per mile over the life of the vehicle will be closer to twenty cents per mile. Definitely a nostalgic fashion statement that is a viable product based on cost and performance. Rather like a Type 35 Bugatti replica with modern running gear. Cool but not quite my personal dream bike.
