Maybe aero-dimpling, but more of a lifestyle 'texture' statement.
Toyota ME.WE "anti-crisis" concept EV design. Eco/recycled & lighweight materials; poly-prop, aluminum, and bamboo are used to reduce production energy and harmful emissions. The dimpled and quilted surface treatments give it that fashionable 'look' and very interesting A- and C-pillar roof winglets & 'speed holes'.

Dimpled and textured for our pleasure...

Looks like a bloated Mini Wagon... not that that's necessarily bad; efficient squarish interior volume. Lots of low hanging aero opportunities. Target purchasers, what 22-35 yr old males? Multiple textured skin options ... uh, no comment.
The in-wheel hub motors need excellent water/dirt shielding so I guess driving in the sand shouldn't be a problem. FWIW, from the boat styles in the background, I'd guess the site is a European beach. Suggests to me if produced, then non-North Americam distribution. ;-( |
The first (black colored) vehicle reminds me of something made out of left-over styrofoam packaging from computers.
