mean truck photo
http://images.craigslist.org/0101120...bbf000aa7c.jpg
Saw this photo on a CraigsListing selling a truck. The photo is just there to show how BIG the truck is. Isn't this like demeaning Rhode Island by saying how many times bigger another state is than Rhode Island? "Look at my truck! It's gotta be at least 4.6 Geo Metros!".... |
believe it or not, how big it is is a selling point in my county. If it's already got a lift, by golly that'll save a lot in labor time!!!
I wonder if he's selling that festiva? :D |

Ha... It may be big.... But that Geo is blocking is path forward!
That competition = Stalemate. |
Next time someone sells a metro they should take a picture just like that except with each vehicle at the gas station getting filled up, :)
|
that car looks like a 1st gen ford festiva.

Lets just hope the truck isn't getting ready to "monster truck it" over the econo! |

I see a lot of Jeeps looking like this at the gas station where I occasionally work.
http://www.gallupindependent.com/200...mages/mud0.jpg But I'm from jersey and the whole "muddin" thing is as new to me as it is to you GenKreton |
WHAT!? you've never heard of the term "muddin"!? I thought everyone knew what that meant!!!.

One guy has his dodge ram completely covered in a giant vinyl sticker... it's leafy camo.. the whole truck is camo... 3 weeks ago was drive your tractor to school day. That jeep isn't anything near as muddy as the schools muddiest truck competition. You can still see the paint. I'll take some pics of the kind of vehicles I see in the parking space in front of me. One truck has somewhere between a 6-9 inch lift. |
At the impound yard today we saw a very large pickup. It must of been a good 7.5, maybe 8ft tall.
The only markings on it were "Heavy Duty" and V10. I'm willing to bet it got a record breaking 1/2 mile to the gallon. :D |
wow, im not from a small town (although there are alot of small communities around here) but muddin' or wheeling (or whatever you choose to call it) is pretty common knowledge around here. anyhow i always find pictures like that amusing, it would have been better if they would have parked it against a saturn or something (quite a bit shorter than the car pictured) my thought being that geo's and festivas have quite a tall roof line. honestly i dont understand the whole "lift it up, toss on giant tires, but keep it on the road" mentality, i havent lifted either of my jeeps and i go off road all the time (maybe a little too often)
/end rant john |
One day I'll post a long description of how I used my Metro to pull my freinds jeep out of the woods.
Boy that'll get the Jeep guys goin'. S. |
sounds like a good story, not quite sure why it would bother most of us (at least on this board) yes we have pride in our American made vehicles but that doesn't mean that we all have big egos, ive gotten my jeep stuck a few times, one time my brother tried to pulle it out with his toyota camry, that was a sad show so we went and got my other jeep and winched it out with that. oh well..
so now lets hear your story :) |

eh, that's not too bad, we went muddin' in a 95 ford escort hatch, and ramped it a few feet in the air. and I recall white smoke pouring out from under the hood atleast 7 times... Mud up to the front bumper.
I don't think we'd take offense to getting pulled out of mud by smaller cars. I know that its funny when I see a lil wrangler pull out a hummer or FJ cruiser out of the mud and then trudge right through it. The vids around here somewhere...:D |
