To measure the fueld gauge from my Arduino [Idea]
I was just thinking to use the Arduino UNO for measuring the fuel levels of my tank. Since I just started learning Electronics and driving too. Have no idea how to start with. Someone who already did it or can point for some hints?

UTComp already has that feature (reading fuel level directly off resistance).
You can also get it off OBD2 on some cars. The fuel level signal is just a resistance. You could measure it with nothing more than a dash mounted DMM. You're still stuck with the limitations of the fuel float accuracy, positioning etc. |
I would suggest checking out autospeed.com. I don't recall anything specific about fuel level stuff, but the guy there does plenty of electrical modifications to cars, which can help to understand car electronics in general.
