Lightbulb Torque converter lockup control relay setup...

This is the relay setup I came up with after looking at the starter kill relay setup over at this page at the12volt.com.

Here's how the DPDT (double pole, double throw) switch will be configured...


The yellow wire from the relays will return back to the solenoid leg of the switch.

I never hooked it up but it will work just fine as the diagram shows fer my transmission. You'll need to substitute the proper resistor fer yer vehicle's TC lock relay.

I was thinking about hooking up the brake disconnect switch to the first solenoid ground wire. This will de-energize the solenoid when the ground is disconnected.

I've been looking to build a plug and play adapter to connect in between the wiring harness and the transmission socket. This would allow me to test it without cutting into the wiring harness.

Can you explain what you mean by using a resister per car? This looks interesting to me as I have an automatic.

Knowing what the resistance value of yer TC solenoid is will determine what the proper resistance value you need to substitute in the diagram. Fer my transmission...the value is ~13ohms so I would use a 13ohm resistor. I'm pretty sure that all TC solenoids are not the same value.
