Mirror Deletes
1 Attachment(s)
Hey guys, many of us speak of deleting mirrors, some of us do it, others remove both, like I will be. I thought this would be a god place to link mirror replacement options forthos looking to do this mod.
Personally I will live with the 5 panel mirror, which you can get at any golf cart supply store. However to appease "The Man" or incase there are any blind spots I was thinking of mounting these in the plastic trim pieces that mount behind my current mirror on the inside of the car .. They are available for $19.95 from WesternBikeworks - Discount Road Bicycle Accessories and Components So post up your alternatives and make this a nice post for this resource. |

(good idea) I got this bicycle handlebar mirror from REI : Blackburn Multi Mirror http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/3...or01jj6.th.jpg And mounted it like so : http://img212.imageshack.us/img212/5...rorsdj8.th.jpg But, I have noticed that one of the exterior bolts on the mirror is rusting badly. It also "wiggles" at freeway speeds. Not much, but it could be annoying. If I were to do it again, I think I would go for a snowmobile side-view mirror (snow implies no rust to me) : Arctic Cat Snowmobile Mirrors Rugged - Durable - Holds adjustment. - Lens - Flat 3.5 x 6.25 - Solid Black http://www.psep.biz/images/Snowmobil...chasis/M16.jpg ARCTIC CAT WING MIRROR - 2.5" x 4" convex acrylic safety lens (I think this would be my favorite candidate) http://www.psep.biz/images/Snowmobil...chasis/M15.jpg ... Also, as others have said, I think you could "adapt" auxiliary safety mirrors : Convex Safety Mirrors This one looks very promising as a flush "by itself" mirror : Auxilary Wide-Angle Side-View Mirror (Medium) http://us.st12.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.c..._2007_16333629 CarloSW2 |
