Sorry, no material assistance to rebels may be provided, but you might want to check out what the MSU Hybrid X team did and the Center for Advanced Vehicle Systems at MSU. I've got a buddy on staff there and they've built cool prototypes like a hybrid humvee.

I spent the 90's in Starkville, and 'twernt nuthin to do 'bout ecomodding there n then. I had a free Battronic Truck to revive, but couldn't generate any interest.
