where are they made and what is the warranty?
Wait, these are just the cells, not the glass, frames, sealant, junction boxes, by pass diodes, quick connect plugs or anything else?

Hello. I think you'll find people here might want to talk a bit more on this forum first. I for one am interested and in the market for a panel that fits my roof. I have a supplier that could build a 120w panel now, but I'm waiting and learning. I looked up "SD Solar Supplies" online and found nothing. I suppose "Dennis" might be the "D" in "SD"? Do you have a website? Any answers for Ryland's questions?

Remember that solar panels that have 25 year warranties were assembled and sealed in a ultra low moisture environment and that good frames, tempered glass, junction boxes and connections all add to the cost of a panel, from what I remember they can come close to adding $1 per watt on to the cost of a panel.
I know people who have built their own panels out of separate cells, I also have a few of the cells that came out of those same panels years later when they failed, I use them to show people what is inside of the panels that we have that are over 25 years old that are still producing electricity at their labeled rated output.
With the lower cost in high quality PV, the big question now is who do you leave your panels to in your will? it's a tough one I know, but it's something that we should all think about because quality solar electric panels should outlive all of us.
