Moustaches for cars... looking for a source/donor

Like many people on here, I want to divert air around my car on its slippery parts instead of the ghastly underbelly.

Also like many people, I live on real world roads and sometimes need to drive on dirt roads.

So I'm thinking an air dam made of bristles might be my best bet. Like at its most simple, just screwing a bunch of brooms under my front fascia.... something stiff enough it won't just slick back with airflow but flexible enough it can drag on the ground when I enter driveways etc without destroying itself or whatever part of the car it's mounted on.

Anyone got a good source, good "donor product", or other idea for how to accomplish this? Or a good reason why it wouldn't help?

Shovel,

I know that by "moustaches" you meant a front air dam.

That said, be careful wht you wish for; you might get it:

hahah ... my car needs a Charlie Chaplin! That crazy German dipstick has robbed too many generations of their right to enjoy a silly little moustache!

You'll need a monocle and a tall hat to go along with the moustache.

With that out of the way, I thought about doing this with some kind of rubber or even coroplast, cut into 2" wide vertical strips. I figure it should be flexible enough to bend, not break.

No 'stache but how about sideburns

Not aerodynamic but great hydrodynamics! Your brooms on the sides like this.

you could try these things they put inderneath doors to stop draft... perhaps industrial variations might be bigger and more suited. i think some escalators also have broom like material on the side and some busses use it around the doors .

I found this... 28" wide is pretty cool and the price is kinda in that range of it's going to take a long time to pay off in fuel savings (especially considering I'm really only guessing that an airdam will help) but at about $30 for the pair I'd need..... eh, not bad. I've spent more than that on stuff that does me no good at all (like tequila)

Not entirely sure how I'll go about attaching it... the idea is to go somewhat below the lowest part of my chassis so I have to mount it low. Think I'll keep looking a little longer...
