MPGuino Local Installers List

This is a list of ecomodders willing to do MPGuino installs for other members that might not be up to the task themselves. In general, it would be best if you could meet the installer at a place of their convenience, but all details can be negotiated between the two parties on your own.

If you'd like to put yourself on the list, just drop a post with your info and I will edit it in. If you've had an MPGuino installed by another ecomodder, don't forget to say thanks!

Maybe this should be added to the wiki somehow?

SVOboy 08-25-2009 11:13 PM

The wiki idea makes sense, but I think more people will see it here and I'll probably forget to keep both updated :p

If someone else wants to do it I won't object though :)

Might be a good idea to have a link to a clean list of installers on the mpguino site too (does dcb run it?) so people can reference it if they are thinking of making a purchase.

I think this is a great idea...plenty of ecomodders out there that can do a nice job installing it...maybe someone can come up with a stock case to include with the installation to sweeten the deal (for a small cost of course)...saw some nice ones in threads that guys made up.

Any chance of this getting updated? Wiring isn't my strong suit, but I'd love to be able to have some way to measure MPGs other than guessing with the needle and tank average.

Someone willing to help on the west coast would be appreciated.

Sulfuric 12-09-2010 02:23 PM

If anyone in Florida can do this for me, I would really appreciate it. I will drive to you, of course. I think I'm gonna get one for xmas, as I could really use something other than my guess-guage 1991 (me looking at my fuel guage).

Where are all of the installers?
I expected to see more than two.

New Installer

I just bought a MPGuido and hope to install it in a Ford Aspire (Mazda B3 engine)

Since I am an avid Arduino fan and handy with a soldering iron, I will probable be doing some modifications like adding a second screen to display TACH info gotten from a line to the distributor.

Just letting you guys know there is a MPGuino roaming about in the north of Vermont.

Location: Ann Arbor, MI & Brighton, MI and live inbetween
E-Mail: DrewHemstreet@ME.com
Happily works on:All electronic fuel injected cars. Prefer the Japanese sort, and memorized the honda D, H and F series engines. CNG off the books too.

Edit: as I see people are talking about accreditations. I have 9 ASE certifications and will be adding alternative fuels, hybrids and P1 when I recert electrical and driveline at the end of the year.

I can help anybody from Poland to install MPGuino

War_Wagon 02-07-2013 12:14 AM

Someone on the forum contacted me last year about installing one. I helped him out, then he disappeared. But if you are in the Vancouver area let me know and we can figure it out, I am no expert but if I can help you out I will.

Possibly an Installer Myself

I am a Graduate (June 2007) from Renton Technical College's Automotive Technology Course (3.75 Cumulative GPA), and live in the Kent/Auburn/Federal Way area of Washington State, USofA.:o I have purchased an MPGuino for my own use, and, once I've installed and tested it in my own vehicle (1991 Jeep Cherokee Laredo 4.0L), I may be interested in installing the same unit for ANYONE living in the Central Puget Sound Region, especially if you can't afford to buy a Scanguage II or equivalent, or have an Older-Than-1996 vehicle.:D Please PM me if any of yous live in my area and are interested in my services.

Anyone in Southeast Michigan (Detroit area) currently that would be willing to install one in an OBD-0 Civic? I haven't bought an MPGuino and will not until I know I can get it installed. I will pay you!

Also willing to drive a couple hours (mini road trip) do get it done.

Thanks, Tyler

Baltothewolf 01-04-2014 03:01 AM

I doubt I'll ever get lucky, but anyone in SoCal that is able to install one in a 95 Camry would be great. I'm willing to pay a good chunk of change if you live within 75 miles (each way).

tf4624 05-08-2015 10:25 PM

anyone in Atlanta Georgia Area...will be in the area for a while..

H-Man 07-10-2015 01:44 AM

I'm likely going to end up offering this service soon. I am partial to making the connections in the ECU for harder to reach harnesses or harnesses that are rare (my prizm/corolla makes tapping the harness a no go without removing a bunch of parts compared to just removing the ECU and I can get an ECU cheaper than a new harness.) It looks like most cars are a bit easier to tap the injector and VSS sensor.

Handle: H-Man
Service area: Ventura, CA and Northridge CA.
Email: Message me.
Specialty: None, however I do have access to an online database that is pretty good about having wiring diagrams.
