MPGuino and a Series 3 Supercharged
has anyone done one on a series 3 supercharged? i cant remember what the site is that has the cars list and their info.
since i am doing an engine swap on the fiero and i am using the stock getrag 282, wouldnt the PPM be the same across all GM cars since its 4000ppm? or am i not remembering this correctly? its been a while since ive messed with the MPGuino... |
It looks like no 3 series have gotten mpguinos, or nobody filled out the info (which is in the wiki btw).

The Series III Super charged is the same as the Series II. Chances are that no one has used a mpguino on the SII or SIII because the scangauge will work on it.
What is PPM? |
the S3 is different in a tiny, yet big way. a returnless fuel system for the big part. its run at a constant 60 psi and has 31.5 # injectors. better flowing supercharger, heads and UIM. other than that, its the exact same. different harness and computer of course. so a S2 info would not work on the fuel side of things.
PPM = pulses per mile. the GM standard that ive seen on a lot of cars is 4000. the stock fiero computer dives it in half... kinda dumb. a lot of gm cars n trucks use the same tranmission.. and in the olden days npt much of it was run off the computer. |
query, does the s3 maintain 60 psi in relation to manifold pressure?
re: ppm, you can get close with the speedo check in minutes, refine on a hiway trip with odo/mile markers/gps, fuggetaboutit. |
yea it maintains that constant pressure regardless of manifold pressure. i think thats how GMs returnless system works. the 2002 C5 holds a constant 55-58 psi... i know its pressure is maintained by the varying voltage from the ECM to the fuel pump.
