My 98 Corolla
 

Hey guys,

New here from Vancouver, Canada, where we pay about $5.50/gal for regular unleaded. We also just started a new carbon tax, which adds 9.45cents/gal, increasing to about 26cents/gal over 4 years. :mad:

If any of you have been to Vancouver, you'll know that there are no freeways around here. Our major arteries all go through city blocks - it makes for very frustrating MPG numbers. I can squeeze out just under 30mpg from my 98' Corolla automatic. My recent trip down to Oregon averaged 41mpg - was very happy with that. It was also my first aeromod, made from a cardboard box and some gaffer tape:

I'm so glad we sold our Jeep Grand Cherokee last summer! I plan to keep my ugly car until we have some decent affordable EVs.

I think you are on the right track. More Hybrids and EVs are likely to be more common soon.
