My ABS sheets came in the mail!
I am now the proud owner of two 2'x4' sheets of black plastic!
Do any of you have any idea what I was going to do with it?! :D Considering the current state of my car (http://ecomodder.com/forum/showthrea...sor-25686.html), I need to get it running before I can ecomod it! |

It is a bit on the heavy side if it's the same thickness I used for strips on my pick up truck cover.
Could be useful for a front air pan though. Belly pans - Pelican Parts Technical BBS http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1082049814.jpg http://ecomodder.com/forum/showthrea...nly-21924.html http://img585.imageshack.us/img585/278/ttunderneath.jpg |
It is 1/16", so 0.0625". Is that thick enough for a belly pan? I thought that the consensus on here was Ye Almighty Coroplast.

How much did you pay?
I measured my pieces, they're 1/8-5/16". Coroplast is popular because it's cheap. I would think for durability, the order would be Coroplast—>Alumacor—>ABS—>Polymetal. kach22i -- That was a great initial post, too bad the thread never went anywhere. |

I shop at the local hippy recyclers.
I got a 40x42" piece that's a close color match, the last one they had, for $4.00 with 20% discount. It's cut into triangles to make fender skirts. I'm figuring out how to heat form a crown into them, before they are trimmed to size. I went back the next day and got a 27x50" piece for $5.00. It is laminated, with some white core material. It's cut-offs from something. It comes and goes. |
